You do any Floyd Cramer stuff. He is the greatest living piano player as you know. Roger Miller doing King of the Road is pretty damn good too.
You ain't too bad either. You ever think about doing a country ballad album ?

this will be my first jazz concert i am 40 yrs old and sad to say i haven't been so looking forward to your show at the columbus music hall i love listening to jazz i play bass and miles davis i think was the best horn player ever have a good concert

Mark, you are truly an EXCEPTIONAL musician. I just graduated last year (2007), and as I continue my Saxophone Career at the collegiate level, you are truly a huge influence on all of my music! I feel so blessed to have grown up in columbus ohio, where I was able to hear you play frequently at the firehouse with Vaughn, and also with the COlumbus Jazz Orchestra. Keep on moving forward, and I hope to hear you play again soon!

Mark, we were genuinely impressed by your performance last Saturday at the Hyde Park Grille. The last time I requested "A Waltz for Debby" from a jazz pianist, his response was "I don't play that. It's Bill's tune." I think it was a cop out, but you played it with the true respect to its author that it deserves. I look forward to hearing you again on a future trip to Columbus. I've bookmarked your site so I can check your calendar.
